Honestly, you could say that Kamelot has been passing over a crisis since their previous album, Poetry for the Poisoned, did not really impress and the kameelot, yet expected leave of the long term vocalist Roy Khan surely managed to create a cloud of skepticism over the upcoming record.
In my opinion, Kamelot has never released a truly bad album, just less awesome ones. As the album progresses, not only do Tommy’s vocals get better, but the album as a whole boo, and Youngblood actually starts to shred for once; something that has been absent in many Kamelot songs. Ghost Opera was Palotai’s own brainchild since it was more operatic-driven, Palotai being an incredible keyboardist and a well-trained classical performer while Poetry for the Poisoned was Siverthorn own breed, reminding us a little bit of his youth spent in Conception, his first band before joining Kamelot.

This review was written for: Tommy has his own voice and sound, but the album still sounds like Kamelot. Their mother And presumably father hear the scream and rush to see what has happened. To end, I just want to have a brief summary of this album. Hell, almost busting out the toe cap. The video revolves around a wealthy family; two boys being seen playing with a kite on a high patio of their home.
Kamelot is not on the verge of developing their sound, at least not on this album, but that does not change the fact that what they’re playing now is solid, even though it is painfully safely played.
